• Find the range where your elevation solution equals 4.0 mils.
• Adjust the wind value in your ballistic calculator until the wind solution equals approximately 0.95 mil on the second Wind Dot of the fourth mil line.
• Divide that wind speed by two.
• The result becomes the value represented by every Wind Dot throughout the reticle.

For example:

• 620 yards equals a 4.0 mil elevation hold
• 8 mph produces a 0.95 mil wind hold
• Divide 8 by 2
• Each Wind Dot now represents 4 mph
