Since their inception, the TREMOR series reticles have always been built around the idea that shooters should be able to measure, hold, engage, and correct shots all within the reticle, without ever having to dial.
Over time, the TREMOR family has continued to evolve, adding specialized in-reticle feature sets that help military professionals, competitors, hunters, and recreational shooters solve increasingly complex shooting problems.
The TREMOR9™ continues that evolution with a different goal.
Rather than adding more features, the TREMOR9™ refines the experience by removing unnecessary complexity while preserving the patented technologies that make Horus reticles unique.
The result is a remarkably clean sight picture, faster target acquisition, and rapid shot correction without sacrificing the precision that long range shooters expect from TREMOR series reticles.
These optimizations make the TREMOR9™ reticle ideal for hunting scenarios and mid-range engagements.
Whether you're engaging steel at distance, hunting across unforgiving terrain, or simply looking for a versatile precision optic, the TREMOR9™ is the reticle you’ve been asking for.
What Is the TREMOR9™?
The TREMOR9™ is a milliradian (MRAD) based reticle developed for shooters who value speed, simplicity, and precision.
While earlier TREMOR reticles offer additional ranging and moving target features, the TREMOR9™ focuses on providing the essential tools needed for fast engagements while maintaining a clean field of view.
Its design makes it especially effective for situations where shooters must quickly acquire targets, make accurate holds, observe impacts, and immediately correct for follow-up shots.
Available exclusively in the HoVR® 5-20x50mm Riflescope, the TREMOR9™ combines premium optical performance with the cleanest precision reticle Horus Vision has ever developed.

Why a Simpler Reticle Matters
One of the biggest challenges shooters face in precision shooting is balancing information with visibility.
Highly detailed reticles can provide incredible capability, but they also introduce more visual information for the shooter to process and manage. For experienced users, that may be an advantage. For others, especially for newer shooters, a simplified reticle is often the best starting point and can lead to faster decision making.
The TREMOR9™ was intentionally designed with this philosophy.
The primary horizontal and vertical stadia feature 0.2 mil subtensions, providing simple hold references without cluttering the sight picture. The reduced visual complexity allows shooters to spot impacts, maintain awareness of surrounding targets, and transition efficiently between engagements.
The result is a reticle that feels fast without giving up the precision expected from an MRAD system.

Time-of-Flight Wind Dots Remain One of the Biggest Advantages
Although the TREMOR9™ is a simplified TREMOR reticle, it still includes one of Horus Vision's most valuable patented technologies.
The Time-of-Flight Wind Dot system.
What Are Wind Dots?
Wind Dots are physical dots built into the reticle beneath the horizontal stadia lines in TREMOR series reticles.
Rather than traditionally calculating wind holds for each shot, Wind Dots provide a visual shortcut that makes it easy for you to adjust and hold for gusting wind as you fire downrange.
How Do Wind Dots Help You?
Wind Dots work with any weapon system and in any weather or elevation, but you do have to set them up first. Once they are calibrated to your specific rifle and local environment, every Wind Dot represents the same wind speed throughout the reticle.
For example, if your calibration determines each Wind Dot equals 5 mph, a full value 10 mph wind simply becomes a second dot hold instead of having to convert wind into mils.
This dramatically simplifies the learning curve for wind corrections in real-world shooting situations.
Even better, Wind Dot values can be calculated automatically using the free Horus Ballistics App, making setup faster than ever before.
Let’s take a look at the different ways you can calibrate your Wind Dots.
Calibrating Wind Dots
To calibrate your Wind Dots to match your specific rifle, ammunition, and atmospheric conditions, you need to follow these steps:
The basic manual process follows these steps:
- Find the range where your elevation solution equals 4.0 mils.
- Adjust the wind value in your ballistic calculator until the wind solution equals approximately 0.95 mil on the second Wind Dot of the fourth mil line.
- Divide that wind speed by two.
- The result becomes the value represented by every Wind Dot throughout the reticle.
For example:
- 620 yards equals a 4.0 mil elevation hold
- 8 mph produces a 0.95 mil wind hold
- Divide 8 by 2
- Each Wind Dot now represents 4 mph
However, if you don’t want to run these calculations manually every time, the Horus Ballistics App can automatically determine your Wind Dot value in just a few moments.

The TREMOR9™ is Designed for Fast Corrections
Every experienced shooter knows the first shot tells only part of the story.
Being able to observe the impact, measure the miss, and immediately send a second-shot correction is often more useful than hoping to achieve perfection on the first round.
The TREMOR9™ supports this process exceptionally well.
Its uncluttered design makes it easier to trace your shot while maintaining a precise hold. Shooters can quickly measure the correction directly through the reticle, adjust the hold, and re-engage without taking their eye off of the scope.
This no-break process saves valuable time and keeps shooters focused behind the optic rather than shifting attention to external data or turret dialing.

Built to Work Alongside the TREMOR Family
One unique advantage of the TREMOR9™ is that it complements the rest of the TREMOR lineup.
Shooters who already use a TREMOR3™ or TREMOR5™, but want a simpler experience can easily transition to the TREMOR9™.
Conversely, shooters who are familiar with the TREMOR9™ and are ready for a more capable optic can just as easily move into the TREMOR3™ or TREMOR5™reticles while maintaining familiar MRAD references and Wind Dot functionality.
This consistency makes it easier for teams, instructors, or individual shooters to use different optics while relying on similar shooting techniques and setups.
Rather than replacing previous TREMOR designs, the TREMOR9™ expands the family by offering another option tailored to shooters who prioritize speed and simplicity.
How Does the TREMOR9™ Compare?
Each TREMOR reticle serves a different purpose. Rather than thinking of one as better than another, it helps to understand which features best match your shooting style.
